Full Job Description
Your Role:

As Technical Sourcing Manager for Recurring Spend, you will directly support the Americas regional sourcing requirements at sites in the USA.

This position is responsible for leading recurring sourcing initiatives within Americas but also takes the lead of the sub-categories of Site Services (food services, cleaning, security, outdoor services, building maintenance) and Waste Management (hazardous and non-hazardous).

You should be experienced in the aforementioned sub-categories and have extensive cross-functional collaboration while using strategic sourcing best practices to maximize value in terms of cost savings and cost avoidance, demand management, risk reduction, quality and performance, and supplier market innovation.

The role holder conducts spend and market analyses, identifies saving opportunities, follows category strategies with the Category Manager, works in collaboration with cross-functional sourcing teams, leads sourcing tenders, negotiates contracts, and manages key supplier relationships. The role holder is an energetic, flexible team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the entire organization, in addition to successfully leveraging resources, processes and tools to achieve desired outcomes.

The Technical Sourcing Manager in Americas works in close collaboration with other members of the global and regional Technical Sourcing and internal Sourcing teams.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives with stakeholders for specific functional areas.
  • Follow strategy outlined by Category Managers and Global Sourcing Managers.
  • Act as First Point of Contact for Stakeholders.
  • Ensure implementation of strategies in a coordinated way across sites in Americas.
  • Lead and manage RFPs, negotiate pricing, secure favorable commercial terms, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and supplier selection criteria.
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements with preferred national and regional suppliers for waste management and facilities services.
  • Identify opportunities and support initiatives to improve site's waste scores, achieve sustainability goals, improve waste disposal methods and decrease annual waste costs.
  • Maintain external/internal marketplace awareness, related to trends within responsibility scope and sourcing best practices.
  • Manage key relationships with suppliers to ensure the realization of value.
  • Foster teamwork and positive employee relations through regular open communications, problem solving, role modeling and management of relationships.
  • Support the development and enhancement of working relationships and communication processes among stakeholders and global Procurement network.
  • Ability to bring together Technical Sourcing Managers from Capex and Recurring spend to act and think as one team.
  • Define and implement a structured stakeholder management approach.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferably in business administration or supply chain. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years' related experience in procurement. Working experience in multinational companies related to sourcing in chemical, pharma or life science industry is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in related sub-categories of waste management, building maintenance and facility services is preferred.
  • Experience in the execution of source-to-contract events end to end, including price negotiations, supplier selection, and contract review and approval is required.
  • Professional communication with ability to manage interests across different skill levels along with strong intercultural insights.
  • Good management skills with ability to work effectively in cross-functional and diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills; experience with RFP/RFQ processes, contract negotiations, and rate setting.
  • Change management mindset with the ability to drive portfolio-level decisions and balance short-term delivery with long-term strategy.
  • Structured and reliable working attitude with curiosity to learn new things.
  • Ability to engage and lead cross-functional stakeholder meetings in a remote or virtual work environment.
  • Time zone flexibility working within a global environment.
  • Resilience & Pressure resistant with ability to fit into fast moving environments.
  • Agility to balance business relationships in a complex global organization.
  • Portuguese and Spanish are a plus.

Travel:

Pay Range for this position: $103,800.00 - $156,100.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
