Technical Solutions EngineerReports to: Director, Technical Solutions Delivery
Location: Remote USA - Easter Time Zone preferred
As a customer success team member, the Technical Solution Engineer is responsible for delivering the technical aspects of a customer's implementation in a timely and professional manner to the customer's ultimate satisfaction. These requirements include migrating PLM/QMS data to and from Arena and providing guidance on the Arena API to customers. We seek people who can develop and propose creative ways to develop and deliver technical solutions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and process-oriented and able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
A manufacturing background in High Tech, Medical Device, or Consumer Packaged Goods is a plus.
Day-To-Day:- Analyze, cleanse, format data provided by the customer and import into Arena
- Extract data from Arena for delivery to a customer
- Provide Arena API guidance to customers
- Gather technical requirements from a customer and develop an LOE and time estimate for that project
- Participating in internal projects that increase process efficiency or increase customer delight
Required Skills and Knowledge:- Ability to problem solve, achieving goals by overcoming obstacles
- Inspect, cleanse, transform, and model data with the goals of i) being able to identify and remove/transform data anomalies, ii) consolidate and standardize data format, and iii) support discussions and decision-making with the customer
- Advanced skills with ETL, SQL/MySQL, VBA, REST API (RESTful framework), JSON, SOAP, GraphQL, XML, Microsoft Excel, stored procedures or other data tooling
- The ability to work with multiple sets of data from different customers with different timelines
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
Preferred Experience:- Experience with PLM, QMS, MCAD, ERP etc
- Expertise with a variety of data tools and technologies including VBA (Excel and Microsoft Access), SQL, REST API (RESTful framework), JSON, SOAP, GraphQL, PDX, XML, VBA
- Java, and/or Python would also be a plus
- Experience with big datasets is a plus
- Experience with collaboration tools like JIRA, Teams, Confluence, and/or Salesforce is a plus
Basic Qualifications:- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related field
- 4+ years of experience mapping, transforming, and loading data from source to target software systems
- 4+ years of proven technical consulting in a software solution implementation setting
PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $66,500 - $122,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
