Technical Services Process Engineer - STRATCO® AlkylationPosition SummarySupport STRATCO® sulfuric acid alkylation customers throughout North and South America by providing process engineering, troubleshooting, startups, reliability improvements, training, and technical consulting. The successful candidate will become a trusted technical advisor while partnering with Business Development to identify growth opportunities, equipment upgrades, and technical service opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications- B.S. in Chemical Engineering required.
- 5-7 years of refinery or petrochemical experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years as a Process Engineer supporting a STRATCO® sulfuric acid alkylation unit.
- Strong understanding of alkylation, fractionation, refrigeration, hydraulics, process control, and refinery operations.
- Outstanding written, verbal, presentation and public speaking skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40-60% domestically and internationally.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, optimization, startup and turnaround support.
- Develop operating recommendations, technical reports and best practices.
- Develop and deliver customer operator and engineer training programs.
- Support reliability, maintenance, inspections and revamps.
- Partner with Sales to identify aftermarket equipment, reliability improvements and upgrade opportunities.
- Present technical papers and represent Elessent before customers and industry organizations.
- Develop innovative technical solutions, new service offerings and future STRATCO® technology improvements.
- Develop working knowledge of BELCO® wet scrubbing and IsoTherming® hydroprocessing technologies and progressively support those businesses.
