OverviewOverall responsibility for creating end user demand, building relationships with Lighting Management Systems current and potential customers, and achieving sales goals within a given territory. This position will focus most of the time on electrical contractors, distributors, architects, lighting designers, engineers and end users. The Specialist, Technical Sales 2 will focus on generating end-user demand for L&C's Commercial Control products to enhance sales and support sales reps, agents, and Regional Sales Managers.

Responsibilities- Develop an annual sales plan in conjunction with corporate sales and budget goals
- Drive sales growth by developing relationships with end users, electrical contractors, distributors, electrical engineers, and architects.
- Support controls solutions through the commercial agent, Leviton distribution team, and national account channels.
- Develop and lead technical, sales, and product training, contractor certifications, etc.
- Where possible, establish Leviton Controls as approved and preferred for use in commercial project specifications.
- Maintain and continue to develop the technical expertise necessary to sell Leviton products in each Business Unit
- Provide service and support to Leviton customers pre, during, and post project completion in a timely, accurate manner
- Understand the competitive offering, market position, and new product developments
- Work collaboratively with Inside and Outside Sales Reps within Business Unit on joint sales activity
- Coordinate activities of the sales territory monthly to the Regional Sales Manager
- Serve as a technical product expert for all Leviton control products
- Certain specialists will be required to manage sales territory size up to $3.5 million.
- As required, support channels through joint sales calls and technical training on Leviton commercial control solutions.
- Coordinate and participate in local and regional trade shows, as required
Qualifications- Demonstrated success in consistently winning major projects and converting major end user accounts
- Demonstrated strong leadership, relationship-building, and relationship management skills as a Specialist, Technical Sales I at LMS (or comparable)
- Operates with minimum supervision and helps to consistently deliver sales and results
- Viewed by end users and consultants in territory as a key technical resource
- Annual target and results are in the top 50%
- Outstanding oral, written and verbal communication/presentation skills as well as negotiation skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- High level of comfort in communicating with every level of an organization from top level executives to field personnel
- High level of technical expertise, demonstrated by a technical degree and/or multiple years of proven experience in a highly technical industry
Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree, technical degree strongly preferred
- 7 to 10+ years' of experience selling commercial control products or comparable experience selling similar products in the lighting and business control industry

Salary Range$120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
