Technical Product Specialist - Onsite
To support our continued market growth and industry leadership, we are looking for a talented candidate to fill our Technical Product Specialist position aligned with our C5ISR Modular Solutions team which develops Curtiss-Wright’s most advanced embedded electronics. Candidates should have hands-on hardware and software industry experience and passion for technology to join the Curtiss-Wright team.
As an integral member of our Product Management team, you will contribute to the overall success of the entire C5ISR product portfolio.
Location: Ottawa, ON
Salary: $82,100 - $109,500 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:
Own and manage the C5ISR sales/customer demo/loaner equipment pool
Track, configure, maintain and refresh demo hardware and software assets
Coordinate shipping returns, inventory, and lifecycle management of demonstration systems
Design, assemble, and configure customer demonstration systems
Preform board-level hardware integration and system bring-up
Install and configure operating systems, middleware and applications software
Validate readiness and reliability of demo platforms for customer engagements
Support technical sales pursuits through preparation of customized demos
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on product showcases, trade shows, and customer presentations
Create technical presentations and supporting customer-facing documentation
Conduct technical evaluations, benchmarking, and performance testing
Document findings and provide recommendations for product improvements
Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues
Coordinate technical activities with third-party partners
Work closely with product management, engineering, business development and marketing teams
Provide technical feedback from customer interactions to product teams
What You Bring:
A highly motivated and curious self-starter with an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, a sense of urgency, and an attention to detail
Relevant hardware and/or software engineering degree, or equivalent industry experience
4+ years work experience in defense, aerospace, or mission critical systems
Excellent organizational abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to create customer documentation and technical presentations
Technical Skills:
Expert working knowledge of Linux
Strong experience with embedded systems and board support package environments
Strong hands-on hardware skills with VPX hardware and associated usability/integration
Experience with board bring-up, system integration and excellent troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with networking, embedded software deployment and system testing
Experience with RTOS environments such as VxWorks
