Technical Product Specialist - Onsite

To support our continued market growth and industry leadership, we are looking for a talented candidate to fill our Technical Product Specialist position aligned with our C5ISR Modular Solutions team which develops Curtiss-Wright’s most advanced embedded electronics. Candidates should have hands-on hardware and software industry experience and passion for technology to join the Curtiss-Wright team.

As an integral member of our Product Management team, you will contribute to the overall success of the entire C5ISR product portfolio.

Location: Ottawa, ON

Salary: $82,100 - $109,500 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:

  • Own and manage the C5ISR sales/customer demo/loaner equipment pool

  • Track, configure, maintain and refresh demo hardware and software assets

  • Coordinate shipping returns, inventory, and lifecycle management of demonstration systems

  • Design, assemble, and configure customer demonstration systems

  • Preform board-level hardware integration and system bring-up

  • Install and configure operating systems, middleware and applications software

  • Validate readiness and reliability of demo platforms for customer engagements

  • Support technical sales pursuits through preparation of customized demos

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on product showcases, trade shows, and customer presentations

  • Create technical presentations and supporting customer-facing documentation

  • Conduct technical evaluations, benchmarking, and performance testing

  • Document findings and provide recommendations for product improvements

  • Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues

  • Coordinate technical activities with third-party partners

  • Work closely with product management, engineering, business development and marketing teams

  • Provide technical feedback from customer interactions to product teams

What You Bring:

  • A highly motivated and curious self-starter with an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, a sense of urgency, and an attention to detail

  • Relevant hardware and/or software engineering degree, or equivalent industry experience

  • 4+ years work experience in defense, aerospace, or mission critical systems

  • Excellent organizational abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to create customer documentation and technical presentations

Technical Skills:

  • Expert working knowledge of Linux

  • Strong experience with embedded systems and board support package environments

  • Strong hands-on hardware skills with VPX hardware and associated usability/integration

  • Experience with board bring-up, system integration and excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Familiarity with networking, embedded software deployment and system testing

  • Experience with RTOS environments such as VxWorks
