Full Job Description
We're seeking someone to join our team as a Lead Software Developer in Finance Technology to drive the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale SAP finance transformation, building critical reconciliation and control capabilities that ensure financial integrity across systems.

This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems that meet business needs through modern engineering practices and technologies.

What you'll do in the role:
• Design, build, and deliver the Transaction Journals control framework, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and auditability of financial postings.
• Lead the technology integration for the ECC to S/4HANA migration, including system initialization, transaction replay, and automated reconciliation.
• Build reconciliation solutions that account for the consolidation of ECC modules (GL, FA, AP) into a unified S/4HANA model.
• Own the migration of ongoing differences (diff) through go-live and post-go-live phases across SAP releases.
• Develop solutions using Java and/or Python, leveraging GenAI, LLM, and Copilot-style tools across the development lifecycle.
• Partner with SAP functional and finance teams to translate complex business processes and data models into robust technical solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and manage a team of consultants, including mentoring and work oversight.
• Drive engineering best practices including code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and control rigor.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly across technology, finance, and SAP stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the role:
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with hands-on delivery of complex enterprise systems.
• Strong expertise in Java and/or Python development with experience leveraging GenAI, LLMs, or AI-assisted development tools.
• Proven experience in large-scale data migration, integration, and reconciliation, including strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Ability to quickly understand complex business processes and partner with functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and managing technical teams and consultants.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working with SAP finance data or alongside SAP teams (GL, AP, FA) + Exposure to S/4HANA finance migrations and financial controls frameworks is an asset.

All our positions are located in Montreal, Quebec. We offer a hybrid work environment, combining remote work and attendance in the office.

Knowledge of French and English is required.
