Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Technical Estimating Supervisor/Manager located in Dallas, TX.

Reporting to the Director of Estimating, the Technical Estimating Supervisor/Manager will play a key leadership role in expanding Crown Technical Systems' estimating capabilities in the rapidly growing data center market. This individual will build and lead a local estimating team, drive proposal strategy for complex power distribution projects, and partner closely with executive leadership to support continued business growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong estimating professional who wants to transition into broader leadership responsibilities while helping shape processes, build a team, and influence the future direction of a growing organization.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Serve as the local estimating leader for a growing Dallas operation, helping establish team structure, best practices, and long-term organizational capability.
  • Prepare and oversee bid recommendations, BOMs, pricing strategies, and risk assessments to senior leadership for approval, ensuring delivery of accurate proposals under tight deadlines across multiple concurrent opportunities.
  • Review RFQs, customer specifications, and contract documents to define scope, assess feasibility, and ensure technically and commercially compliant quotations.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing to enhance competitiveness, alignment, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and improve estimating tools, SOPs, and KPIs, leveraging market insights, closed-loop feedback, and lessons learned to optimize accuracy and performance.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 5

  • 5+ years of experience in estimating, proposal management, project engineering, project management, or related technical roles within electrical equipment, power systems, industrial manufacturing, utility, EPC, or data center industries.

  • Prior leadership, team lead, mentorship, or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience estimating switchgear, control panels, e-houses, power distribution systems, substations, modular data centers, or similar engineered-to-order products is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of project costing, pricing strategy, contract review, risk management, and margin analysis.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer technical requirements.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment.
