GXM is seeking a Technical Engineering Advisor to join our team to support advanced defense and space-related mission programs focused on Command and Control (C2), mission systems integration, infrastructure modernization, and operational capability delivery.
The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Government stakeholders, providing expertise in hardware architecture, infrastructure integration, networking, system deployment, and operational transition activities. This individual will work closely with engineers, architects, vendors, mission partners, and Government personnel to evaluate technical solutions, support integration efforts, and ensure mission capabilities are successfully deployed into operational environments.
This role requires expertise in hardware and infrastructure integration, multi-vendor environments, secure networking architectures, and enterprise technology deployment within mission-critical environments.
This role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. Hybrid flexibility may be available over time based on mission requirements, program execution needs, and achievement of objectives.
Responsibilities- Provide technical advisory support to Government stakeholders on hardware architecture, infrastructure modernization, and operational deployment activities as they relate to other awarded contractor/vendor solutioning within the overall program.
- Assess hardware solutions, compute platforms, storage systems, network architectures, and vendor technologies from other awarded contract vendors supporting mission requirements.
- Support interface integration and cross-vendor interoperability efforts across infrastructure, networking, and mission systems environments.
- Evaluate and coordinate compute, storage, and network integration activities supporting operational capability delivery.
- Advise on system administration approaches, infrastructure management processes, and operational sustainment strategies.
- Support design and integration of multi-level secure networking environments and cross-domain connectivity solutions.
- Coordinate Government network integration activities, including connectivity requirements, infrastructure dependencies, and deployment planning.
- Support workstation architecture development and end-user environment planning for operational mission systems.
- Coordinate with facility, security, and program stakeholders on physical security requirements impacting infrastructure deployment and operations.
- Support follow-on production planning, technology refresh activities, and transition of prototype or operational demonstration capabilities into production environments.
- Assess commercial technology solutions and support integration of emerging capabilities into Government mission environments.
- Prepare technical assessments, architecture evaluations, risk summaries, and recommendation packages for Government and program leadership.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience supporting defense, space, intelligence, or mission-critical technical programs.
- Experience supporting hardware architecture, infrastructure integration, networking, system administration, or operational technology deployment efforts.
- Experience integrating compute, storage, networking, and mission systems within enterprise or operational environments.
- Familiarity with multi-level secure networking, cross-domain technologies, and Government network environments.
- Experience evaluating vendor technologies, integration approaches, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and technical briefing skills.
- Experience supporting technical reviews, readiness assessments, deployment activities, and operational transition efforts.
Desired Qualifications - Experience supporting defense, space, intelligence, or multi-domain operational environments.
- Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) systems, mission systems, or operational technology environments.
- Experience supporting production transition, technology insertion, or operational fielding activities.
- Knowledge of RMF, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust, cross-domain solutions, or secure networking architectures.
$125,000 - $185,000 salary + annual bonus eligibility + medical/dental/vision/STD/LTD/Life + 401(k) + PTO
