Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Globally Integrated Exercise Joint Event Support Team Lead Planner provides planning, management, liaison and coordination support for joint exercises and events, the joint training system, and special projects. Acts as the JS J7 Support Team (JST) point of contact to the Joint Exercise Division (JED) Desk officer/Event Planner for all contractor support within a specific area of responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Builds exercise planning schedules
  • Forecasts labor and travel
  • Helps develop an event budget
  • Oversees completion of all Joint Event Life Cycle deliverables for all assigned events
  • Develops and maintains the team calendar
  • Coordinates on team member assignment to other events and deployments
  • Coordinates JTS Phases 1, 2 and 3 for assigned events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 20 years' experience inclusive of the following: service and joint doctrine to include combat, combat support, and combat service support operations
  • 5 years' experience with joint/service organizations, operations, and exercises at levels comparable to Joint Task Force, Army Corps, Numbered Air Forces and Numbered Fleets
  • Preparation of scenarios/MSELs for joint training events; preparation and conduct of seminars and study groups; training in large and small groups
  • Conduct of post exercise analysis; compilation and presentation of lessons learned
  • 3 years' experience using military simulations as training and analysis tools
  • 15 years' experience in military operations; execution of exercises at local and remote sites.
  • Secret clearance and Joint Forces Staff college/equivalent required.
  • Have the ability to: prepare and conduct seminars/work groups
  • Conduct training in large and small groups
  • Conduct post exercise analysis
  • Experience in the joint or service planning process.
  • Must be able to travel unassisted to continental US and foreign locations.
  • Travel: at least 25%
  • Must be able to move and operate personal computer and related equipment
  • Secret Clearance is required
  • Operator qualified in a service simulation
  • Facilitation experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Master's Degree Preferred
