Tax Process Advisor, FSO Tax - Tax Technology & Transformation (Manager) (Multiple Positions) ([redacted]), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Irvine, CA.
Provide business tax services and tax technology services to help client financial services companies meet complex demands for direct tax reporting, compliance and planning. Review tax and finance processes for financial services clients by gathering business requirements, evaluating workflows and controls, analyzing tax and financial data, and identifying opportunities for tax technology automation/configuration and process improvement. Assist with the production of leading practice tax software solutions, and support and automate internal and external operations of multinational tax departments. Assist with the production of tax software solutions by configuring tax technology applications, supporting ERP and tax system integrations, and developing automated workflows. Develop custom tax applications and automation solutions for using Microsoft Power BI, Visual Studio, VBA/VSTO, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, Power Automate, Power Apps, and/or RPA software. Monitor assigned tasks until completion, including documenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging systems, documenting and implementing process change and monitoring overall project profitability for financial services clients in the Insurance, Banking Capital Markets and Wealth and Asset Management industries. Identify ways to automate manual tasks using existing and emerging technologies. Consolidate tax data to make analysis and planning more efficient. Improve reporting capabilities to enhance our clients' ability to evaluate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in tax process improvement. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, and 4 years of work experience in tax process improvement.
Must have 4 years of experience in tax or finance process improvement, with at least 1 year of experience dealing with financial services industry.
Must have 3 years of experience in business process analytics and/or product management for tax technology solutions including at least one of the following: ONESOURCE, Corptax, Sabrix, Vertex, MS SharePoint, PFI, and/or RPA software.
Must have 2 years of experience in supervising teams consisting of at least 2 people on multiple projects and providing direction to team members.
Must have 2 years of experience with managing custom applications including at least one of the following: Microsoft Power BI, Visual Studio, VBA/VSTO, MS SharePoint, MS SQL Server, Power Automate, Power App, and/or RPA software.
Must hold at least one of the following certifications/accreditations: Certified Digital Product Manager (CDPM); Certified Product Manager (CPM); Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Quantitative Economics; Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) for Professionals in Taxation; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or foreign equivalent; US state Bar license or foreign equivalent; SAP Certified Professional; Certified SAFe Professionals; Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA); Vertex Certified Implementer; Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Certified Implementer Program (CIP); Microsoft Azure or Azure AI Certified; Microsoft DevOps Engineer Certified; and/or Microsoft Power Platform Certified.
Requires domestic travel up to 50% in order to serve client needs.
