Full Job Description
Tax Manager within BPM's Private Client Services (PCS) practice, you will serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, executives, and family offices, helping them navigate complex tax matters and preserve wealth across generations.

In this role, you will lead sophisticated tax compliance and consulting engagements, identify proactive planning opportunities, and help clients make informed decisions that optimize tax efficiency and support long-term wealth preservation. You'll build meaningful relationships with clients and their advisors while collaborating with Partners and firm leadership to deliver exceptional service and customized solutions.

Note: Candidates residing within commuting distance of a BPM office will be expected to follow a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of high-net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
  • Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
  • Supervise tax associates' assignments and manage the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the client.
  • Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance.
  • Manage multiple engagements and deliver high quality products timely and efficiently.


Requirements:

  • 4 or more years' experience in public accounting
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field (Masters degree a plus)
  • Licensed CPA OR EA certified
  • Capability to research complex tax issues and exposure to a variety of entities and industries.
  • Extensive experience in researching tax issues and exposure to a variety of entities and individual tax issues.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates proactive thinking.
  • Experience developing and training associate level professionals.


$128,000 - $168,000 a year

Compensation reflects multiple factors including experience, certifications, skills, and geographic differentials,

The salary range provided is intended for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements of the position. Candidates who do not reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, do not meet the minimum requirements, or exceed the requirements are encouraged to apply and a recruiter will provide you with a range specific to your location and qualifications.
