Tax ManagerCST Group is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our collaborative and growing team. This role will oversee and review business and individual tax engagements, provide strategic tax planning and consulting services, and build strong client relationships.
The Tax Manager will work closely with firm leadership, mentor team members, and help drive exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and review business and individual tax engagements.
- Lead tax planning and consulting projects for clients across multiple industries.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client relationships and ongoing advisory needs.
- Research and resolve complex tax matters while ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff and senior associates.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on workflow management and client service initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to add value and strengthen client relationships.
- Stay current on tax law changes and industry developments.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred
- 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
- Strong technical tax knowledge and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and client engagements.
- Leadership experience supervising, mentoring, and developing team members.
Preferred Experience- Experience working with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
- Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax and related software platforms.
- Experience contributing to business development or practice growth initiatives.
