Overview

Responsible for managing the daily operations of a Talent Acquisition (TA) team and talent strategy to drive business growth, hiring execution, and a positive candidate experience. The Manager serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and HR, proactively identifying talent needs, hiring risks, and market challenges while shaping the recruitment strategy, pipeline development, and sourcing plans. This position helps to strengthen team capabilities, supports data informed decisions, and drives effective, compliant hiring outcomes aligned to business goals.

Location & Travel Details: This position can be based either in the Dallas (Irving area) or the Fargo office. Travel will be up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a talent acquisition team, ensuring quality, compliance, productivity, and a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to business and TA leaders, shaping recruiting strategies, talent pipelines, and hiring initiatives that support business growth.
  • Coach, develop, and manage recruiters, set clear standards, monitor workload and performance, and build proactive sourcing and creative solutioning capability.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for executive level roles as needed.
  • Identify hiring risks, talent gaps, and market constraints early, and drive proactive recruiting solutions with business leaders to minimize delays and support workforce plans.
  • Provide market-informed recommendations and influence hiring decisions to improve speed, quality, and competitiveness.
  • Drive process improvement and effective use of recruiting systems, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency, compliance, and decision-making.
  • Oversee/Lead preboarding execution for new hires, including background checks, drug screens, onboarding documentation, and coordination of start-date readiness, while ensuring compliance, timely completion, and a positive new hire experience
  • Support broader talent programs and special projects driving top of funnel expansion, including agency partnerships, early career initiatives, diversity efforts, and other department priorities.

Qualifications

Work Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in recruitment with a minimum of 1 year of managing teams of 3 or more.
  • Experience working within EPC (engineering, procurement, construction)/Energy industry preferred.
  • In-depth operational and reporting experience with a robust applicant tracking and onboarding system (prior iCIMS experience preferred)
  • Experience managing search assignments for executive level leaders.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategy, and talent pipeline development for current and future business needs
  • Ability to use recruiting metrics, dashboards, and market insights to guide decisions and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Understanding of current talent acquisition trends, including candidate experience, employer brand, skills-based hiring, and responsible use of recruiting technology
  • Advanced ability to lead teams through change, set priorities and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess talent in competitive markets.
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust, advise leaders, and present recommendations clearly.
  • Advanced attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to operate urgency while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and recruiting compliance requirements including EEO, ADA, and OFCCP
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and other recruiting tools.
  • Strong consultative and influencing skills with the ability to build partnerships across all organization levels.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 15%.
