Systems Test Engineer

As a Systems Test Engineer you will lead a test team that will work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters. Your customer will trust you to not only test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate these systems leveraging established system requirements, but also identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up-front and early to develop this system with advanced technology solutions. You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with test, verification, and system integration for major defense acquisition programs involving complex space, ground, software, or hardware systems

  • Experience supporting Government developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) programs within a Lead Developmental Test Organization

  • Experience planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting DT&E activities, including operational-test readiness and required test artifacts

  • Experience translating requirements and interface specifications into test objectives, procedures, acceptance criteria, and verification evidence

  • Experience with Test Readiness Reviews, system-of-systems, space-to-ground integration testing, and deficiency management

  • Experience with development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans, System Test Plans, and requirements verification plans and reports

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with OPIR, missile warning, remote sensing, or space-based systems, including Next Gen OPIR, FORGE, RGS, NGG, NGP, SBIRS, or DSP

  • Experience performing interoperability testing, integrated test events, and operational acceptance activities

  • Experience with DOORS, MagicDraw, digital engineering models, or tools for requirements and verification traceability

  • Knowledge of verification and validation of software or database releases

  • Knowledge of DoD 5000-series acquisition guidance, MIL-STD-3022, DoDAF, and IEEE 15288 lifecycle standards

  • Master’s degree

  • CTEP or INCOSE Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
