The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Systems Manager to support the technical aspects of electronic discovery and litigation databases for the DOJ Civil Rights Division. The Systems Manager will work closely with litigation teams to develop and implement technical strategies, support database design and coding workflows, and provide technical guidance throughout the e-discovery process. This role will also support searching, productions, quality control, and database functionality while serving as a technical resource to attorneys, case managers, litigation-support personnel, and technical teams. The Systems Manager will have the opportunity to participate in litigation activities, provide specialized technical assistance and training, and help develop effective case and data strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the technical aspects of electronic discovery and litigation databases.
  • Assist with the strategic and legal aspects of e-discovery and translate case requirements into technical solutions.
  • Consult with litigation teams to develop and apply technical strategies for database design, coding, searching, and workflows.
  • Review databases and walk litigation teams through the logic and functionality of coding applications.
  • Participate in legal proceedings and activities, including Rule 26(f) conferences, and assist with preparation of technical affidavits and related materials.
  • Lead technical support for outgoing productions, including high-level QC of coding fields, verification of technical specifications, and privilege-log generation.
  • Collaborate with case teams to develop high-level case and data strategies.
  • Assist the Senior Systems Manager/Manager with statistical and analytical reporting.
  • Provide specialized technical assistance and one-on-one training to litigation teams.
  • Identify and troubleshoot database and e-discovery issues and coordinate solutions with technical teams.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance and support throughout the e-discovery process.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience supporting electronic discovery, litigation databases, or legal technology environments.
  • Working knowledge of database design, coding applications, e-discovery workflows, searches, and productions.
  • Ability to work effectively with attorneys, case managers, litigation-support personnel, and technical teams.

  • Experience with technical quality control, litigation productions, privilege logs, or related e-discovery deliverables.
  • Experience providing technical training and guidance to litigation teams.
