The Work

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Test Engineer to join our Launchers Engineering team in Moorestown, NJ, supporting military missile launching systems including Advanced Launchers and the Mk 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS).

As an Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer, you'll work across prototype, low-rate production, and fielded systems. You'll help develop test strategies, execute test events, and verify system performance while collaborating with Systems, Software, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop test strategies, scenarios, and test cases
  • Execute development and formal qualification testing on hardware and software
  • Author test plans, procedures, and test reports
  • Perform Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrix (RVTM) activities
  • Analyze test data and evaluate system and subsystem performance
  • Document test findings through problem reports
  • Partner with engineering teams to resolve requirements, design, and test issues

Experience testing DoD combat, weapons, or missile launching systems is highly valued, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

You're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys testing complex systems and working across engineering disciplines. You can analyze results, identify issues, communicate technical findings, and collaborate with others to drive solutions. A DoD Secret clearance is required; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain one.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited University.

- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an engineering field

- Demonstrated understanding of Systems Engineering process, lifecycle, and test approaches including test planning, execution, reporting, and requirement decomposition into test case scenarios and scripts

- Must be able to support occasional travel

- Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level

Desired Skills

- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited University.

- Prior experience in Systems Integration & Test

- Prior experience developing test plans, procedures, and test reports

- Prior experience performing data analysis of test results for verification and validation

-Prior experiece with lab engineering tools (i.e. data acquisition, sensors) and software (i.e. LabVIEW use/coding)

Pay Information
  • $75000.00 - $142760.00
