OverviewThe Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring for a Systems Engineer in the Washington Navy Yard.
Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP. The Systems Engineer will provide support to the government team within Missile Branch responsbile for the Accuracy Improvement Program (AIP) 2.0, a classified Research and Design (R&D) initiative. The Systems Engineer will support development of integrated program plans and schedules, assist with coordination of missile system components including avionics and support equipment, review AIP documents with internal and external stakeholders, and support budgetary planning factor definition through coordination with government and prime contractors.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work full-time at the Washington Navy Yard.
- U.S. citizen with DoD TOP SECRET clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain the clearance while employed with SPA.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ professional experience in an engineering position.
- Exceptional writing and presentation abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Strategic Systems Programs.
- Experience working with DoD engineering and acquisition processes.
