Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting a Systems Engineer (Senior) to support the Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Program Office (PMA-234) at NAS Patuxent River in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-234 is responsible for acquiring, delivering, and sustaining Airborne Electronic Attack systems and providing combatant commanders with Electronic Warfare capabilities that critically enable operational mission success. This position will serve as the Deputy to the Assistant Program Manager Systems Engineering - Low Band team. This is a local hybrid position requiring 2 days per week on-site at NAS Patuxent River combined with local telework. Anticipated Travel requirements are 2 weeks per quarter.

The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Serve as the Deputy to the Assistant Program Manager Systems Engineering - Low Band
  • Systems Engineering representative to gather, analyze, document, and manage technical and performance requirements from all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, program offices, competency management, IPT team members, contractors and external agencies to ensure Systems Engineering practices and processes are followed appropriately
  • Facilitate Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) events
  • Identify, assess, and document, technical, programmatic, and readiness and sustainment risks for applicable programs.
  • Prepare clear, concise, technical reports, technical documents, letters, memorandums. including gap analyses, business case analyses, regular status reports/briefings, trip reports, meeting action items, etc.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of integrated master plans and schedules, tracking milestones and deliverables.
  • Review life cycle management documentation for systems, ensuring supportability from design through disposal.
  • Analyze readiness, sustainment, and cost data to support investment recommendations and inform decision-making.
  • Effectively and efficiently operate and communicate across multi-level security environments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of best practices.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Must have a Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience
  • Must have at least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering results in support of multi-level security projects.
  • Direct experience in defense, aerospace, or government programmatic/technical settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills for working with engineers, logisticians, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Compensation Statement

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $148,330.00 - $164,420.00
