Description

Markon is seeking a Senior System Engineer Level 2 to support the deployment, installation, integration, modernization, and sustainment of critical Radio Frequency (RF) communication systems for the Fort Meade customer. This role leads the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and lifecycle support of packet-based hardware and software systems utilizing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies. The position is responsible for driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, network, and RF components to ensure interoperability, operational performance, and mission success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems
  • Support the deployment, installation, modernization, and lifecycle management of RF communication systems
  • Drive end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, networking, and RF components
  • Develop and maintain system architectures, engineering documentation, and technical solutions
  • Perform requirements analysis, system design, integration testing, and operational validation activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, network, and communications issues
  • Support modernization initiatives and technology refresh efforts across communication platforms
  • Coordinate with engineers, operators, vendors, and Government stakeholders to ensure mission success
  • Develop and execute test plans, integration procedures, and deployment strategies
  • Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise throughout the system lifecycle


Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with ths customer
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field required
  • 14+ years of systems engineering experience supporting complex communications, networking, or RF systems
  • Experience leading the design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of packet-based systems
  • Experience with COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutions
  • Strong background in RF communication systems and communications architectures
  • Experience performing end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, network, and RF components
  • Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes, requirements management, and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in operational environments
  • Experience supporting system modernization and technology refresh initiatives
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder organizations
  • Ability to support mission-critical systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment


Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
