Full Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer who will work in a group that is working to replace an out of date and fragile system with a modern replacement. The group will then be focused on the rollout of a brand-new messaging system.

The Systems Engineer will be providing technical direction, guidance and manage software trends across the project. 

Duties will also include but not limited to:

  • Performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition, integration, system documentation.
  • Will serve as the primary focal point of contact for several enterprise systems.
  • In this role the candidate will need to frequently interact with senior level Customers to provide innovative solutions and provide feedback.

Required Skills:

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly to be considered
  • Requires BS degree and at least 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with at least 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of systems analysis and development
  • Know core languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or C#
  • Ability to provide Analysis to data structures & algorithms
  • Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle software development project performing all phases of a rigorous software development methodology with the ability to identify gaps, mitigate technical risk, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical problems.
  • Hands on experience with Agile development processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with System Documentation.
  • Experience with Java for Software Development.
  • Experience with Puppet
  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with AWS
  • PL/SQL
