The Position: AM Pierce is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of an advanced technology being designed internally by the U.S. Navy. Working as part of a systems-engineering team and under the direction of a senior systems engineer, this individual will help multidisciplinary teams apply systems-engineering principles, develop a coherent system design, and capture that design in an integrated system model.
The position requires someone who can engage effectively with engineers, software developers, analysts, operators, and government stakeholders; contribute to structured technical discussions; and clearly represent the resulting design and technical baseline.
The ideal candidate has approximately five years of relevant experience and a practical understanding of systems engineering, system architecture, and model-based engineering.
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The range that is given is an estimate and may vary based on contractual constraints. At AM Pierce & Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
The Location: Patuxent River, Maryland
The Work Environment: Remote, Hybrid, or On-site. This position may support remote, hybrid, or on-site work, subject to program and contract requirements. Preference will be given to candidates located near Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, who can regularly participate in on-site collaboration. Remote employees may be required to travel to Patuxent River for technical working sessions, demonstrations, and program reviews.
