Systems Engineer 2 - (Systems Engineering, ISO/IEC 15288)

Description:

Support the HPDA PMO with gathering data and generating critical systems engineering documentation such as Requirements Verification, Traceability Matrix (RVTM), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), System Architecture Documents, and others as needed.

Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.

Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.

Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.
  • Gather data and generate critical systems engineering documentation such as Requirements Verification, Traceability Matrix (RVTM), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), System Architecture Documents and others as needed.
  • Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Be responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.
  • Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
  • Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
  • Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
  • Acquisition and Supply.

SE-2 Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED plus six (6) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area).

A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years of systems engineering experience.

A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Salary Range: $137k-$168k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
