Job Title: Enterprise Architect
Role
The Enterprise Architect provides strategic leadership in the design, documentation, and governance of the enterprise technology landscape. Bridging business strategy and technical execution, this role ensures architectural standards facilitate scalable, secure, and performant solutions. The candidate will drive technical authority for architecture and integration-modernizing and governing our enterprise API ecosystem using Azure Integration Services alongside multi-cloud architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Integration Architecture: Lead the design of enterprise integration architecture aligned with business goals and IT strategy. Architect API management, API-first patterns, microservices, and event-driven systems across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Define target-state architectures, integration blueprints, technology roadmaps, and OpenAPI specifications.
Technical Governance & Compliance: Lead Architecture Review Boards (ARB) as technical authority for decisions and platform governance. Track design submissions and exceptions, ensuring compliance with security policies, regulatory frameworks, identity standards, and architectural best practices.
Collaboration & Leadership: Translate complex business requirements into high-level technical specifications. Provide guidance and mentorship to software engineers and architects. Draft executive summaries, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), status reports, and senior leadership presentations.
Research & Innovation: Research emerging technologies (AI/ML, API standards, Event Streaming), summarizing findings into recommendation notes and PoCs to evaluate tools for legacy modernization.
Technical & Functional Skills
Azure & Cloud Stack: Hands-on Azure APIM, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Logic Apps, Functions, Entra ID, Key Vault, WAF, and Front Door. Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud platforms.
Software & Data Engineering: Java and .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) proficiency. Data modeling across relational (Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
DevOps & Governance: CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM). Enterprise modeling tools (Visio, Archi) and EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
