CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Architect within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Systems Architect job description involves designing, implementing, and overseeing complex IT systems by analyzing business needs, developing high-level architectural blueprints, and ensuring hardware, software, and network components integrate effectively for scalability, security, and reliability. Key responsibilities include creating technical roadmaps, conducting feasibility studies, guiding development teams, staying updated on technology trends, and communicating technical concepts to stakeholders. Systems Architects act as a crucial link between technical and business goals, focusing on the integrity, growth, and performance of the overall IT infrastructure.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• System Design & Architecture: Leading the design and documentation of system architectures for new projects and products.
• Feasibility & Risk Analysis: Evaluating the technical feasibility and potential risks of proposed system designs.
• Technical Roadmaps: Developing and maintaining long-term technical roadmaps for system evolution and modernization.
• Scalability & Performance: Ensuring systems are designed to handle high volumes of data and traffic and perform efficiently.
• Integration & Integrity: Overseeing the initial design and ongoing integration of applications and ensuring the overall integrity of the systems.
• Technology Evaluation: Researching and assessing emerging technologies to determine their potential impact and suitability for the organization.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Providing technical guidance and mentorship to development and engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Security & Reliability: Designing and implementing measures to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of systems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicating complex technical concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences, including management and end-users.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI with CI Poly
• Deep understanding of both hardware and software components.
• Broad knowledge of network design, databases, and system servers.
• Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Proficiency in various system architectures, including integrated, distributed, pooled, and converged models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $190,900.00.
