Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems & Network Administrator to join Blue River Technology's IT Infrastructure team and help build the technology foundation that powers the future of robotics and autonomy. As a Systems & Network Administrator, you'll work across a modern IT environment spanning Windows, macOS, Linux, cloud identity, endpoint management, networking, and SaaS platforms. You'll play a key role in scaling and automating our infrastructure while supporting the engineers building next-generation autonomous machines.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse, modern technology stack rather than being limited to a single discipline. You'll collaborate across infrastructure, security, and engineering teams, take ownership of projects that improve reliability and automation, and continue growing your technical expertise in identity management, endpoint management, networking, and cloud infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

A combination, not necessarily all-inclusive, of the following:
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
  • Support cloud and on-premises directories (Active Directory, Entra ID, FreeIPA, Okta).
  • Manage our fleet of Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoint devices.
  • Manage Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms and applications.
  • Assist with escalated support issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Experience and Skills
  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems & Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar IT Infrastructure role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience administering Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, including Jamf and Intune.
  • Strong experience managing cloud and on-premises identity platforms, including Active Directory, Entra ID, and Okta.
  • Experience administering SaaS applications using an Identity Provider (IdP).
  • Experience administering Zscaler security products, specifically ZPA and ZIA.
  • Ability to write, review, and troubleshoot scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python.
  • Track record of producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation.
  • Ability to work onsite several days per week and provide occasional after-hours support when needed.

Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Experience administering cloud infrastructure and services in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience automating infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar configuration management technologies.
  • Experience supporting engineering organizations or technical users in software, robotics, AI/ML, or other technology-focused environments.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth technology company where broad technical ownership is expected.
  • Experience implementing enterprise security and identity best practices, including SSO, SCIM provisioning, SAML, or OIDC.

At Blue River, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $108,000 - $162,000/year for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and a competitive benefit package. During the recruitment process, we may identify an alternative role or level to which you are more suited. If your ideal role at Blue River differs from the advertised position, we will provide an updated pay range as soon as possible during the hiring process.
