The
Systems Administrator (Intermediate-Level) will support the South East Region Cyberspace Support Center (RCSC) and be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise IT systems supporting mission-critical operations.
This position works closely with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of Government systems. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience supporting Windows Server environments, Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure services.
Job Responsibilities:- Install, configure, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and health using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Perform patch management, systems maintenance, and configuration management activities.
- Administer and support Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Group Policy, and enterprise infrastructure services.
- Support virtualization environments, storage platforms, and backup solutions.
- Execute data backup and recovery operations utilizing technologies such as Veeam, NetBackup, and HPE StoreOnce.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
- Support cloud migration and modernization projects.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and support vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with networking, cybersecurity, engineering, and application teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Government customers and internal stakeholders.

Compensation Range:- $80,000 - $100,000 annually
- Full-Time (Monday-Friday)
Several factors influence final compensation, including relevant experience, technical expertise, certifications, and education.
Qualifications- U.S. Citizen
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
- Four (4+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems administration.
- Experience performing system maintenance, patch management, backup and recovery operations, and troubleshooting server and infrastructure issues.
- Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
- Experience administering enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam, NetBackup, or HPE StoreOnce.
- Knowledge of server monitoring, performance tuning, and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting cloud migration, cloud services, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability remediation, and systems hardening.
- Experience supporting disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity operations.\
