Job DescriptionJoin us as a Systems Administrator III, where you will manage and maintain server operating systems, hypervisors, processes, storage, and related hardware and software to support the reliability, consistency, compatibility, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and security of enterprise IT systems and services. You will work on multiple medium- to high-complexity projects as a project leader or subject matter expert across multiple technical areas and business segments.
You Will:
- Investigate and recommend new technology and techniques to enhance the performance, reliability, and availability of IT resources and services.
- Work with cross-functional teams to install, test, and transition server operating systems, hypervisors, processes, and related hardware and software into production; evaluate and apply upgrades; and maintain systems and documentation.
- Provide off-hours on-call support and assistance during incidents; serve as Level 2 technical support for the Help Desk; and support the development, maintenance, and periodic testing of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors on problem resolution; understand contractual obligations and escalate as required; detect, diagnose, isolate, and correct system faults; and support incident and problem management activities.
- Support Engineering in defining and reporting availability, capacity, alert, and service-level metrics.
- Coach and mentor more junior technical staff.
Required SkillsYou Will Have:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
- Experience with server operating systems, hypervisors, processes, storage, and related hardware and software.
