Full Job Description

ProSync is seeking a System Engineer I or Software Engineer I to support the development, integration, and sustainment of mission-critical systems and software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong Python development skills, experience working with C++, and a solid understanding of modern software development and deployment practices. This role requires hands-on experience with GitLab and Docker in a collaborative engineering environment. Candidates with networking knowledge and SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) experience are highly desired. The selected individual will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, test, and maintain innovative solutions supporting complex customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software and system solutions using Python and C++.
Support system architecture, integration, and engineering activities throughout the system lifecycle.
Develop and maintain code repositories, branches, and CI/CD processes using GitLab.
Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker.
Collaborate with engineers, developers, and stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve software, systems, and integration issues.
Document system designs, software components, engineering processes, and technical solutions.
Support system testing, validation, and performance optimization efforts.
Participate in code reviews and configuration management activities.
Contribute to network-aware software and systems development efforts as required.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, System Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of experience in software engineering (OR) in lieu of a degree, a total of eleven (11) or more years of software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in Python development.
Experience developing applications or software components in C++.
Experience using GitLab for source code management, collaboration, and version control.
Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented engineering environment.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
An active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.
