The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Reporting to the Systems, Integration and Test Engineer Lead, the Systems, Integration and Test Engineer will participate in the requirements management and automated test systems design for state-of-the-art, microwave products for government and military applications. The Systems, Integration and Test Engineer will be a key resource for the transition of products from Engineering to Manufacturing. This transition involves the calibration, tuning and testing of product sub-assemblies which includes final acceptance and working with Project Engineers to define test procedure documentation.

Essential Functions:
  • Distills engineering test set-up information into a hardware and software platform worthy of performing testing on an automatic, repetitive, production basis.
  • Creates and/or modifies automated test programs to evaluate product performance against specifications and to collect data demonstrating product performance.
  • Utilizes a multitude of test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Reviews specifications and determines test strategy for meeting requirements
  • Multi-level automated test system design to meet flowed down requirements.
  • Reviewing product requirements and ensuring all parameters are tested and compliant with documentation.
  • Utilizes a variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, RF network analyzers, RF spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Programming variety of test equipment for fully automated acceptance testing, including user interfaces and test data reduction
  • Debugs/rebuilds manufacturing/test equipment test set-ups as required
  • Determine test apparatus set-ups working with Engineering and implement automated tests of production assemblies and units using best practices
  • Creating test procedures to document entire testing process from bench integration to automated acceptance testing.
  • Works with engineers in conducting experiments utilizing test equipment
  • Ensures adherence to engineering schedules.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ associate's degree in electronic engineering technology with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience,
  • 3 years of experience in automated test engineering, preferably in electronics or RF systems.
  • Programming experience in LabVIEW and/or (C#, C++, VBA, Python) for use in automated testing environments is required. LabVIEW is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, concepts, testing methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated analog and digital troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Skilled in prototyping test setups and designing custom test fixtures.
  • Proven experience transitioning products from engineering development to full-scale production.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach suited to a small team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with sound decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to quality, ESD awareness, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced computer skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year.

Location: Onsite in Sparks, MD with a 9/80 schedule. Every other Friday OFF.
