Full Job Description
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting commercial risk. As a Private Equity Senior Property Broker you will report directly to the Private Equity Leader for Middle Market.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work 3-4 days a week from our New York City office.

What the day will look like

The Broker is responsible for the management of a sophisticated portfolio of complex property accounts, including the placement and service, as well as ensuring client deliverables are maintained. Private Equity brokers are instrumental in driving new business to Aon through supporting Property program review and proforma budgeting during the Due Diligence process of a potential M&A transaction. The individual leads by example as a strong sponsor of Aon's Leadership Model; supporting local colleagues; promoting and ensuring connectivity, collaboration and cooperation within local office practices, functions and fostering the sharing of knowledge, best practices and resources around our Property accounts.
  • Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Property programs including single carrier, shared & layered and alternative structures.
  • Advise and execute on the placement of new and renewal Property programs including crafting submissions.
  • Driving placements within required timeframes and servicing those placements including their renewals; new business opportunities in the Private Equity space are often shorter and more complex than a traditional renewal timelines.
  • Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.
  • Help with the development of new and innovative Property solutions specific to Private Equity risks.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the carriers and underwriters.
  • Mentor and help develop brokers on the team.
  • Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon team with a particular emphasis on developing relationships with other key internal and external stakeholders in an M&A transaction.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 10+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
  • Proven knowledge of Property coverages with program ranging in size from traditional Middle Market to large complex business.
  • Strong understanding of Middle Market P&C risks and carrier appetites.
  • Experience in Private Equity backed placements and servicing.
  • Broad relationships with the carriers that write Middle Market P&C business.
  • Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Outstanding Microsoft Suite and presentation skills.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Must have an active Property and Casualty license (or obtain within four months of hire (90 days)

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $160,000-$190,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Newk York. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
