Full Job Description
Hybrid | Direct Hire

Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire an experienced Licensed Professional Land Surveyor who can lead surveying projects, manage field and office teams, and support client relationships. This hybrid position requires in-office attendance on Mondays.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical surveying background, project management experience, and an active Professional Land Surveyor license. Pennsylvania licensure is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Manage land surveying projects from initial planning through final deliverables
  • Consult with clients to define project requirements, schedules, and expectations
  • Develop and manage project and departmental budgets
  • Prepare weekly schedules for survey crews and coordinate field assignments
  • Provide technical guidance to office staff and field crews
  • Oversee survey work associated with civil engineering and infrastructure projects
  • Direct the preparation and review of boundary, topographic, right-of-way, subdivision, and other survey plans
  • Train field personnel on surveying procedures, equipment, documentation, and quality standards
  • Coordinate utility locating activities with local providers and line-locate companies
  • Monitor project progress, staffing, schedules, and deliverables
  • Support team development and collaboration across the surveying department
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Mapping, Geomatics, or a related field
  • Active Professional Land Surveyor license in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia
  • Pennsylvania PLS license strongly preferred
  • At least 5 years of land surveying and project management experience
  • Broad experience across field surveying, survey plan preparation, and project delivery
  • Experience preparing or managing right-of-way plans
  • Ability to lead professional survey staff and field crews
  • Experience developing project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans
  • Strong client communication and relationship-management skills
  • PennDOT project experience preferred
