Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY KKR is seeking an Associate to oversee the surveillance of KKR Insurance's structured investments, including monitoring asset ratings, investment performance, deal activity, deal efficiency and market opportunities. The ideal candidate will independently analyze investment data, communicate insights effectively with key internal and external stakeholders, and formalize monitoring processes across the portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the rating surveillance process on all KKR Insurance-structured transactions (100% owned or syndicated): prepare rating agency packages (updated deal models inclusive of rating agency stress scenarios, latest investor reports, borrower financial statements and asset performance reports), coordinate stakeholder information requests from the agencies, keep performance and asset-level data current in the KKR Insurance Structuring folder, obtain updated underlying asset information in coordination with PM, KKR and TPA teams, roll forward transaction models in Intex or other Excel templates, and manage all rating agency requests and updates.
  • Perform SPV asset management: monitor performance of key tests and triggers, and monitor rating actions on public issuance across sectors to stay ahead of potential assumption changes.
  • Evaluate structural changes to optimize capital (NAIC and BMA) or protect against performance issues; coordinate any underlying document amendments with the transaction lead.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for TPAs (Goal, WTNA, Vistra, etc.) and finalize deal models on the Intex platform following handoff from the transaction lead.
  • Perform monthly cashflow reconciliation, normalizing and analyzing inconsistencies, and complete income reconciliation for Ivy, Sidecar and other measures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal KKR Insurance teams (Analytics, Risk, Finance/Tax/Accounting) on portfolio matters (with oversight from transaction leads); answer transaction model questions and provide documentation and performance data as requested.
  • Partner with the IPV / valuations team (including Lincoln) on pricing and cashflow support given the use of transaction models in the valuation process.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS
  • Rigorous attention to detail and data integrity across models, reports and reconciliations.
  • Strong ownership mindset - takes projects from initiation through completion with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort engaging directly with rating agencies, TPAs and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to synthesize complex structured-finance data into clear insights and recommendations.
