Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Surgical Physician Assistant, you will be a vital contributor to our Surgical Oncology and General Surgery team at Mercy Medical Group. This is a prime opportunity for a Physician Assistant (PA) seeking surgical oncology jobs or general surgery PA roles in the Greater Sacramento area.
You'll engage in comprehensive patient care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, with exciting potential to utilize your OR skills. Every day you will collaborate closely with a team of highly skilled surgeons, providing exceptional patient care from pre-operative assessments through post-operative follow-up. Your responsibilities will include assisting in a diverse range of surgical procedures, managing complex patient cases, and contributing to a positive and supportive clinical environment. You'll utilize your strong clinical acumen and communication skills to educate patients and their families, ensuring optimal understanding and adherence to treatment plans. This role demands a proactive approach to patient management and a commitment to continuous learning within the dynamic field of surgical oncology and general surgery.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a current California Physician Assistant license and NCCPA certification, having graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program. While robust clinical skills and medical knowledge are paramount, we are particularly seeking candidates with at least two years of surgical experience (preferred). Your ability to integrate seamlessly into a fast-paced team, coupled with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, will be key to your success in delivering the highest standard of patient care within our renowned medical group.

Job Requirements
Required:
- Two years working as a Physician Assistant with OR experience
- Current and unrestricted California PA license
- National certification (NCCPA)
