Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including biopsies, tumor resections, and lymph node dissections
  • Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary cancer conferences and tumor boards
  • Provide consultation services and follow-up care for oncology patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standards

Position Overview

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Surgical Oncologist to join the growing surgical team at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary cancer care team providing comprehensive oncologic services to patients throughout Central Maine.

The incoming physician will work collaboratively with medical oncology, radiation oncology, and specialty surgical teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $475,000 to $579,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
