Position SummaryThe primary function of this position is to operate Atom Probe Tomography (APT) instrumentation to support advanced semiconductor processes and tool qualifications and provide root cause analysis for manufacturing support. This includes collaborating closely with Fab Engineering and Process Integration groups to understand customer analysis needs and provide root cause analysis with data interpretation and improving/developing analysis techniques to meet needs of our customers on cutting edge technologies.
Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:- Responsible for daily APT operation including data acquisition, data analysis and sample preparation. Closely work within analysis teams for correlative analysis with APT, TEM, and SIMS. Collaborate with Fab Engineering and Process Integration groups to provide analysis solutions.
- Able to recognize analysis improvement opportunities and lead projects in terms of quality, improving efficiency and adding new capabilities
Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:- B. S. to PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or closely related discipline.
- 4 years experience with APT sample preparation, data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Strong background in APT acquisition, data processing and sample preparation requirements.
- Understanding or expertise in AFM, TEM/FIB or other surface analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of semiconductor processes and device physics.
- Experience coordinating maintenance and service with vendors.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving ability; Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, statistical software.
- Must be able to work for long periods sitting at instruments and handle small samples.
The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
