Pay Range: $108,000 - $135,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications

As a member of the location leadership team, the Materials Manager will manage the Purchasing and Receiving functional areas. You will be responsible for the inventory accuracy, inventory turns, timely receiving and flow of material to the line, safety within the receiving/handling team, and preventing stock-outs. You will also assist in tracking and reporting internal supply manufacturing costs, along with the cost of product calculations, waste costs, and month-end financial close documents.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accountability to a safety-first culture.
  • Lead the Procurement, Scheduling, and Receiving departments to ensure their training and development is sufficient to enhance productivity while supporting the ongoing development and employee engagement.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, improving processes, reducing costs, and increase quality while providing superior customer service and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to minimize supply chain disruptions while limiting working capital.
  • Champion daily visual management as a development tool for the Supply Chain organization.
  • Analyze inventory turns, shortages, costing, manufacturing waste and cycle count deviations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Problem solving to identify the root cause of supply chain and scheduling issues
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve pricing, quality and delivery performance.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis will be required to support the requirements of location management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
  • Three plus years in an operations leadership role with direct reports
  • Five plus years in a manufacturing setting with a demonstrated history of career advancement
  • Advanced level Excel skills for data analysis
  • Experience in oversite of multiple departments in a made-to-order manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of inventory replenishment methods (Min/Max, Reorder Point, Kanban, MRP, etc.)
  • Experience in production planning, procurement, and inventory control is desired
  • Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM/APICS) certification is a plus, but not required
  • Oracle experience is desired, but not required
