Full Job Description
Position Overview

The Supply Chain Manager drives the supply chain that turns Humble's autonomous vehicle designs into physical, deployable products. This role leads sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and materials planning across the mechanical, electrical, and electronic components that make up our vehicles and charging systems. The Supply Chain Manager also owns the commercial relationships with our strategic suppliers, negotiating on cost, terms, and long-term partnerships. Working at the intersection of engineering, operations, and manufacturing, the Supply Chain Manager ensures parts arrive on time, at target cost, and at the quality our programs demand across every stage of the product, from early prototype builds through production ramp. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving hardware startup and enjoys building scalable processes while keeping today's builds unblocked.

Key Responsiblities

  • Own end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for vehicle, autonomous technology and/or charging hardware, from sourcing through delivery.
  • Manage sourcing, procurement, and purchasing for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, balancing cost, quality, and lead time.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers and contract manufacturers; drive commercial engagement with strategic suppliers, leading negotiations on cost, terms, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Manage materials planning, inventory, and logistics with operations, and mitigate supply risks and shortages to keep builds on track.
  • Partner closely with engineering to drive design-for-supply-chain, manage long-lead items, and support part selection and second-sourcing.
  • Track and drive key metrics including on-time delivery, cost, inventory levels, and supplier quality; lead supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement efforts as needed.
  • Establish scalable procurement processes, tools, and workflows appropriate to a growing hardware company.
  • Ensure compliance with trade, customs, and regulatory requirements across the supply base.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management for hardware or manufactured products.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic components.
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, materials planning, lead times, and cost/quality trade-offs.
  • Experience negotiating supplier pricing, terms, and supply agreements.
  • Proficiency with supply chain planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with engineering and operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under ambiguity and time pressure.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the automotive, EV, robotics, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing industry.
  • Experience scaling a supply chain from prototype through production ramp.
  • Familiarity with vehicle components, powertrain, battery, or charging hardware supply chains.
  • Experience with contract manufacturers and global/international sourcing.
  • Background in design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-supply-chain collaboration with engineering.
  • Knowledge of trade compliance, customs, and import/export requirements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or early-stage hardware environment.
