Role and responsibilities

As SS&P PL Logistics, you represent SS&P with a logistics focus in a product team under delegated responsibility. You ensure two-way alignment between the product team and SS&P, secure product-level material availability across MDUs and sites, and maintain transparent reporting on logistics risks, critical path status, and BoM readiness from the SS&P perspective.

The role focuses on the logistics-critical path from definition through ready-for-volume. You translate product and integration plans into logistics consequences, drive timely availability of SS&P PGP logistics deliverables, and proactively identify and mitigate product-level logistics risks before they become material escalations.

Delivery
  • Represent SS&P with a logistics focus in the product team under delegated responsibility, ensuring two-way alignment between the product team and SS&P.
  • Act as first point of contact for product-relevant SS&P logistics functions, including LSM and SO, for plan alignment and integration with MDU stakeholders such as MDU leaders and sector delivery leaders.
  • Secure product-level material availability across relevant MDUs and sites, with clear reporting on logistics risks, critical path status, and BoM status from the SS&P perspective.
  • Ensure timely availability of SS&P PGP logistics deliverables and make sure relevant module PGP information is available for decision-making.
  • Drive proactive logistics risk identification and mitigation at product level, reporting status and actions on individual KPIs from definition through ready-for-volume.
People and collaboration
  • Collaborate across product-related MDUs with logistics partners such as P&D and CSCM to drive completeness and gap resolution of the product critical path.
  • Influence product, MDU, operational logistics, and supplier stakeholders to align priorities, resolve constraints, and secure execution of logistics actions.
Accountabilities
  • Support the definition of the Product Cycle Time and Move Rate roadmap, including CT reduction and MR increase initiatives in product teams, and contribute to end-to-end ideation and realization.
  • Maintain a transparent product critical path to proactively identify, prioritize, and resolve material escalations at product level.
  • Contribute to performance and efficiency improvements in the SS&P product organization.
  • Translate demand, design, and integration plan changes into logistics impact, risks, and required actions.
Mandate
  • Support management of site-level product logistics NRE budget requests, approvals, and spend within the agreed LTFP/TAP budget, including alignment with P&D and CS sectors.
  • Contribute to PGP and supply chain readiness decision-making on logistics.
  • Drive BoM actions toward SS&P Delivery Leaders and D&E to secure PGP readiness on BoM completeness and correctness.
  • Sign off product integration plan changes from a logistics and SS&P product readiness perspective.


Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, operations, or a related field required. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional background and 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, sourcing, or project management in a high-tech environment.
  • Relevant experience in NPI processes, supplier management, logistics implementation, material availability, and SS&P ways of working.
  • Expert knowledge of SS&P and PLM processes, PGP deliverables, and manufacturing or supplier readiness on logistics elements.
  • Experience operating across product stakeholders and supporting delivery of modules or product-level logistics deliverables.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$120,750-181,125

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
