Full Job Description
Job Summary

Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading supplier quality strategy, supplier development, supplier
quality performance evaluations, customer quality experience, and continuous improvement initiatives across
Southwire's Wire & Cable vendor portfolio. Oversees NPI and MOL product quality qualification
requirements, supplier audits, quality metrics, Enterprise ISO 9001 compliance, SAP-based quality
management, and structured problem-solving efforts to improve supplier performance, reduce quality costs,
and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
• Support application and optimization of Supplier Quality Manufacturing Systems (e.g., IntellaQuest, SAP
QM) for quality planning, supplier management, and corrective action resolution processes.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance for supplier related requirements and alignment to corporate policies.
• Identify potential gaps and improvement areas for supplier management, develop and deploy procedural
controls through cross-functional teams.
• Lead supplier process, product audits, including supplier qualification and post corrective action (SCAR)
resolution.
• Ensure standardization of supplier management activities across the Wire & Cable product line.
• Drive vendor root cause analysis using tools such as, CAPA, 8D and 5-Why problem-solving
methodologies.
• Serve as corporate supplier liaison for manufacturing quality concerns and audit responses, attend
manufacturing site visits as needed.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing to evaluate supplier quality performance, technical capabilities, operational
excellence, and supplier risk as part of supplier selection and award decisions.
• Incorporate supplier quality metrics into the centralized supplier scorecard to support performance
management.
• Participate in supplier business reviews and provide quality performance analysis along with
recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree

Specialized degree: Engineering or related field

Licenses/Certificates: ISO9001 certified auditor or equivalent.
Certifications such as ASQ CSQP, CQE, CQM, Six
Sigma are a plus.

Years of Experience: 8-11 years

Field of Expertise: Quality or Vendor Management in a manufacturing
environment.
