Full Job Description
The impact you'll make

As a Supplier Quality Engineer (Product Engineer) supporting the Anode commodity, you will serve as the primary technical owner for supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product conformance. You will drive supplier qualification, process capability, risk reduction, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure suppliers consistently meet Lam's requirements for quality, delivery, reliability, and cost. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to resolve complex metallurgical, manufacturing, and process-related challenges while supporting new product introductions, supplier transfers, capacity expansion, and long-term technology roadmaps.

  • Serve as technical lead and owner for the Anode Commodity within SET
  • Evaluate and mitigate metallurgical and manufacturing issues
  • Collaborate with Product Groups to develop material specs.
  • Lead process audits and supplier qualifications.
  • Drive resolution of supplier quality escalations


Who we're looking for

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or a closely related discipline; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supplier engineering, quality engineering, materials engineering,
  • Strong understanding of metals processing and manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and material specifications.


Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience within metals processing industries.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, energy, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and process capability assessments.
  • Experience with GD&T, SPC, DOE, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, RCCA, and statistical analysis techniques.


Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
