The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a 1st level supervisor, including position management responsibilities over subordinate employees. Directs work activities through subordinates with responsibility for maintaining a current knowledge and guiding subordinate employees to provide advice, accountability, and expertise on a continuous basis. Logistics Professionals dedicated to executing budget and policy in order to deliver worldwide Specialty Engines supply chain logistics readiness to enable combat power for America and its international partners with a core emphasis on cost, quality, schedule and continuous process improvement.
DUTY 1 - Exercises 1st level technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more of duty time over subordinate employees predominately in the General Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services Group and journey level or higher. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinate employees, sets and adjusts short and long-term
priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
DUTY 2 - Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics related objectives. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements.
DUTY 3 - Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. Evaluates reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses. Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow-up.
Duty 4 - Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise.

The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
