The major duties of the Supervisory Intelligence Research (Branch Chief) position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Exercises supervisory responsibility over employees and non-supervisory intelligence personnel engaged in complex intelligence research and analysis as well as related administrative support work and develop overall program and/or project objectives, goals, resource requirements, and milestones for all intelligence aspects of the branch's programs.
- Plan and oversee intelligence projects, predictive analysis projects and initiatives that concern programs and associates activities in other Federal, State, local and international law enforcement and regulatory agencies and organizations.
- Performs complex, in-depth analysis and/or directs and coordinates intelligence working groups on significant issues that impact functions and programs of national and international significance, particularly those encompassing programs of the branch.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend improvements to the intelligence analysis process.
- Advises management on significant issues pertaining to program and products, such as new initiatives.

QualificationsTo qualify for this position at the
GS-14 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of
specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level
GS-13 by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
Specialized experience must include all of:- Collecting, evaluating, analyzing and extracting information from various sources and intelligence data to compile into useful finished analytical products, reports and correspondence; AND
- Preparing and presenting briefings on a variety of intelligence topics/issue to management.
