- Direct day-to-day operations, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and identify training and developmental needs of workforce.
- Formulates budgets, justifies funding requests, and strategically allocates personnel.
- Obtaining, allocating, and committing critical resources to advance the hospital's clinical quality and patient safety programs.

Basic Requirements for Supervisory Health System Specialist:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and managing health care programs; monitoring facility performance and preparing reports; and coordinating with clinical and administrative leadership on healthcare administrative policies, programs, and operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
