Full Job Description
What We're Looking For:
The Quality team is responsible for planning, organizing, leading and controlling the Operational Quality function relating to the assurance of the quality of incoming and outgoing product quality and customer satisfaction within a specific site or geography.
  • Oversees the work of a mid-size team of Quality Assurance professionals.
  • Directly oversee, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of the site QC team.
  • Select, train, coach, and evaluate personnel to ensure high operational efficiency, competency, and professional development.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and certified on relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), test methods, and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001 / ISO 13485).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain technical QC systems, inspection plans, and test procedures aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Define and enforce standards, methods, and acceptance criteria for inspecting, sampling, and evaluating incoming materials, in-process assemblies and finished products.
  • Support internal quality audits and external regulatory/customer audits, facilitating audit responses and corrective actions.
  • Assist in validation, verification and qualification of inspection tools, fixtures, gauges and test equipment.
  • Establish, maintain and publish critical KPI's.
  • Lead or support root cause investigations for non-conformances, OOS events, and customer complaints, drive CAPA's to closure.
  • Spearhead Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce variation, eliminate waste, and optimize inspection cycle times.
  • Directs and prioritizes process quality audit assignments for subordinate staff to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Selects, trains, coaches, and manages the performance and development of the team to ensure the efficient operation of the quality function.
  • Performs SOX and QA audits and supports the organization with internal and external audit activities, particularly those related to QMS and ISO compliance.
  • Supports the organization with ongoing QMS compliance, preparation, testing, and monitoring of conformance to established quality assurance processes and standards (including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485).
  • Provides leadership with suggestions for continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction are met.
  • Establishes, gathers, analyzes, maintains, and distributes process quality results and metrics to drive consistency.
  • Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for quality check evaluations.
  • Understands the interests of other stakeholders and communicates appropriately to inform or engage others in the resolution of process non-conformances.
  • Communicates process quality standards and major non-conformances across the organization.
  • Manages the execution of assigned process improvement initiatives to achieve continuous improvement in all relevant Quality KPIs.

Preferred Education:

Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent supervisory expenence in a related industry

Preferred Work Experience:

6-9 years experience including minimum 1 year as team lead / supervisor

Key Skills and Competencies:

Pay Range:
$76,640.00 - $114,960.00 Annual

Incentive Compensation:
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 10% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
