Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Histology or Anatomical Pathology.
• Proficiency in routine and advanced histologic techniques along with an understanding of laboratory workflow and regulations.
• HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification is mandatory.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• PA(ASCP) certification is advantageous for those overseeing grossing processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the Histology lab, managing specimen handling and processing tasks.
• Lead scheduling, training, and performance evaluation for team members including Histology Technologists and Pathology Assistants.
• Ensure compliance with legal and institutional quality standards such as CAP and CLIA.
• Oversee workflow, monitor turnaround times, and manage equipment and supply inventory for operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and quality control measures.
• Act as a technical expert for troubleshooting complex lab cases and enhancing processes.
• Assist pathologists with specimen handling and grossing oversight as needed.
