The City's diverse portfolio of public facilities includes buildings and infrastructure that support essential municipal services, public safety, recreation, and community operations. - Provide hands-on supervision and technical leadership to engineering staff and consultants, guiding design decisions and resolving complex issues involving architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Oversee complex vertical construction and facility rehabilitation projects, managing design and construction contracts while balancing scope, budget, schedule, quality, and operational constraints.
- Manage and coordinate project funding and budgets, including overseeing multiple funding sources, tracking expenditures and commitments, coordinating with Finance, City departments, and external funding agencies, and ensuring project scopes, schedules, and deliverables align with available funding, applicable requirements, and established deadlines.
- Ensure effective coordination among design disciplines, identifying and resolving conflicts between building systems, structural components, site improvements, and architectural requirements throughout design and construction.
- Coordinate across City departments, regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to address project requirements, facilitate permitting and approvals, resolve technical and administrative challenges, and keep projects moving forward.
