Full Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Supervisory Attorney for Operations will drive operational excellence, performance management, and other strategic activities for the ACP. Under the direction of the Assigned Counsel Plan Administrators and working in partnership with the 1st and 2nd Appellate Divisions of New York State and the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice, the Director of Operations will develop and implement innovative solutions to improve ACP operations. The desired candidate will: -Work closely with the Plan Administrators to set and implement strategic goals, priorities, and policies. -Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ACP, including oversight of human resources, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of staff and processes. -Oversee the ACP Case Tracking System. -Guide the development and review of policy proposals, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership. -Develop record retention plan and oversee its implementation. -Work closely with senior leadership to achieve ACP's goals, and serve as a liaison between ACP, MOCJ, and the NYS Office of Indigent Legal Services (ILS). -Assess needs and oversee procurement for ACP's main, courthouse, and satellite offices. -Provide office management assistance. -Prepare and manage an annual ACP budget and coordinate with MOCJ to support budget analysis and maintenance. -Oversee facilities and technology for the ACP, ensuring efficient daily operations. -Attend citywide and statewide coalition meetings with community, government, professional associations, and related business entities. -Assist in the preparation of ACP compliance reports. -Represent ACP in meetings and court events when needed. -Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture, promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. -Maintain cooperative and supportive relationships with relevant personnel in state and city agencies and with community-based stakeholders. -Other duties as assigned. **PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR RESUME AND COVER LETTER SPECIFIC TO THIS POSITION EXECUTIVE AGENCY COUNSEL - 95005 Qualifications Admission to the New York State Bar; and four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any bar, eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work.
