Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Project Manager and suppliers for timely delivery of materials/services.
  • Review design drawings for compliance with vapor barrier and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Manage renovations and upgrades of operational Food and Beverage facilities.
  • Ensure site safety in alignment with OSHA and specific client safety programs.
  • Implement and maintain project-specific Safety (HASP) programs.
  • Guide and coordinate subcontractor compliance and deliverables.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, including three-week look-ahead plans.

Superintendent (Onsite Twin Falls, Idaho), 100% travel

Responsible for full on-site project execution of required work in a safe and economical manner

in accordance with the design requirements, on schedule, and within budget

Reports to Operations Managers, Project Executive, or Project Manager

No Direct Reports

Requirements

15+ years of commercial construction, industrial construction, or process plant construction. Emphasis on manufacturing and/or food beverage facilities. Experience in wastewater treatment would be a plus. Field experience managing sitework, structural concrete, vertical building, MEP and tenant finishes.

A college degree in Construction Management or a related Engineering degree is required.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
  • Experience working in environments that comply with Good Manufacturing Practices related to Food and Beverage facilities including protein (pork, poultry, beef, alternative proteins), bakeries, prepared foods and other food, beverage, and consumer good products.
  • Familiarity with Raw and Ready-to Eat construction, details, and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of Food and Beverage regulations including USDA. FDA, FSMA and other related standards.
  • Experience working on the construction of refrigerated and frozen facilities.
  • Ability to understand, construct and inspect details for food processing and cold storage facilities.
  • Understanding and experience in projects with heavy emphasis in process piping, electrical and controls and HVAC.
  • Proficiency in field/construction use of Procore.
  • OSHA 30 certification as a minimum, OSHA 100 preferable.
  • Available for assignments within the 48 lower states.


Major Areas of Responsibility:
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and vendors/suppliers to assure timely delivery of all required materials/services to complete project scopes.
  • Review drawings to identify potential issues related to vapor barrier integrity and non-compliance with Food and Beverage Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Work in Management of Change led renovations and/or upgrades of operating Food and Beverage facilities.
  • Maintain a safe site in compliance with OSHA, ET and owner specific safety programs and guidelines.
  • Assure development, implementation, and compliance with project specific Safety (HASP) program, including emergency evacuation plan and Crisis Management plan.
  • Assure compliance with incident/accident
  • Provide guidance, direction, and coordination of all on-site subcontract
  • Develop, implement, and assure compliance with the project schedule; 3-week look-a-head prepared
  • Assure Subcontractor compliance with all project safety requirements, including weekly safety meetings and
  • Assure Subcontractor compliance with all subcontract requirements, including design requirements; staff drug and alcohol policies; sexual harassment policy; hazard communication policy; EEO policy; etc.
  • Assure compliance with all Company standards, systems, and
  • Produce Daily Construction Reports (DCR's) in Procore as per ET standards with supporting photos to record daily progress and
  • Work in coordination with the Project manager to ensure that projects meet budget and earnings
  • Produce weekly subcontractor coordination meeting minutes and monthly project progress
  • Interface with Owner's on-site
  • Present and conduct oneself in a professional, respectful manner in dealing with all parties, including: the Client; subcontractors, suppliers; professional service providers; government authorities, etc.
  • Interface with local authorities for all permit inspections and
  • Coordinate all quality control inspections and
  • Assure timely submittal of all reports, including timesheets and expense
  • Assure project achieves schedule requirements and contract completion
  • Responsible for taking care of company truck/trailer and ensuring that it is maintained and in good working
  • Conduct oneself in a respectful manner when dealing with all parties, including the client; subcontractors; tradesmen; suppliers and all service providers
