Job Summary:The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all daily construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets. This position provides leadership to field personnel, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, and works closely with project management to ensure successful project execution.
Essential Job Functions:- Manage and oversee construction activities from project start through completion
- Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, site requirements, and regulatory standards
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily work activities to meet project milestones and deadlines
- Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure proper allocation and productivity
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job site documentation, reports, and records
- Assist with change order documentation, pricing support, and evaluating schedule impacts
- Coordinate closely with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress
- Provide leadership and direction to field personnel, ensuring clear communication and expectations
- Participate in meetings both in-person and virtually?
- Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and communication
Work Environment:- Primarily based in an active chemical plant or industrial job site
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and industrial hazards
- Must comply with all site-specific safety protocols and PPE requirements
Requirements
Qualifications:- Previous experience in a Superintendent or similar construction leadership role
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, and safety practices
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively coordinate across multiple teams and disciplines
