Position Description

We currently have a need in Raleigh for a Superintendent with mid to large size project experience.

The Project Superintendent will join a collaborative team that partners with executives, business development, owners' representatives, and project teams to deliver exceptional projects in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for leading daily field operations from project start to completion. The Project Superintendent will coordinate subcontractors, materials, equipment, and site logistics while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. They will also oversee inspections, maintain strong communication across project teams, and proactively resolve challenges to keep work moving forward.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain the project schedule, coordinating daily activities and sequencing work with all trade partners.
  • Lead and supervise day-to-day field operations, ensuring each phase of construction is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project milestones.
  • Coordinate and prepare for all required inspections, proactively resolving deficiencies to maintain project momentum.
  • Direct and manage subcontractor performance, ensuring quality workmanship, productivity, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field documentation with the project management team to support efficient project execution.
  • Maintain accountability for schedule, quality, and budget performance, identifying and resolving field challenges before they impact the project.
  • Champion a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing the company safety program, conducting regular site inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Oversee quality control throughout construction, ensuring all work meets project specifications, contract documents, and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners through proactive communication and collaboration.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and field experience.
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including leading large, complex projects valued at $50M+.
  • Proven experience managing field operations on large-scale ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, quality control, and jobsite safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead field teams, coordinate multiple trade partners, and keep projects on schedule and within quality expectations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
